MEET BECKY
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
My name is Becky Richardson, and I’ve proudly called Lyndhurst home for the past 16 years. As a single mother to two incredible children—Nathan (14) and Anna (11)—I’ve spent years deeply invested in our schools and community, not just as a parent, but as a passionate advocate for every child’s success.
Whether cheering from the sidelines as a football, soccer, and band mom, or mentoring youth as Assistant Scoutmaster for Scout Troop 461, I believe in showing up, speaking out, and building connections that matter.
I bring 9 years of PTA leadership experience, where I’ve led initiatives that directly impacted our students—from replacing elementary playgrounds to facilitating vital conversations on safety, bullying, and social-emotional learning. I’ve worked hand-in-hand with district administrators and PTA treasurers to ensure transparency, accountability, and meaningful progress.
Professionally, I’ve spent 18 years at Progressive Insurance, including a decade as a claims leader. My career has sharpened my skills in problem-solving, communication, and leadership—skills I now use to champion families and educators alike.
I’m honored to have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Ohio PTA Lifetime Achievement Award (2019), the Family School Partnership Award (2024), and the Advocacy Award (2024). I’m also a Distinguished Toastmaster and a proud Girl Scout Gold Award recipient.
I’m ready to take my advocacy to the next level. My name is Becky Richardson and I’m running for school board because I believe in strengthening the relationships between our families, teachers, staff, administrators, and the broader community. Together, we can build a district where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to thrive.
